Write contracts and send for signature
Settings → Contracts. Keep a default agreement for everyday jobs, then add one per service. Clients sign in the portal — typed signature on every plan, or DocuSign / Dropbox Sign on Team and Scale.
Step 1
Open Settings → Contracts
The screen heading is Online contracts. The list on the left is every agreement: the default first, then service-specific ones, then any you turned off. Tap a name to edit it, or New agreement to start from the standard text. Changes apply to new jobs. Agreements already sent stay as they were.
Step 2
Click a field chip
In the agreement text, click a field chip (client, property, fee, company, date) to drop it at the cursor — do not type dollar codes by hand unless you want to. Preview sample fills a fake job so you can read the wording. Hide sample when you are done.
Step 3
Default vs a service
Use this agreement for: Default covers every job unless that service has its own active agreement. Pick a service (4-point, radon) when the language should change. If two active agreements share the same default or the same service, you will see Overlap — turn one off or give this a different service so jobs know which to load.
Step 4
Who must sign, and Active
The client always signs — that is the primary buyer on the job. Turn on Co-client if a second buyer must sign, and Agent if the listing or buyer’s agent must sign. Active loads this on new jobs. Turn Active off to keep the wording without using it.
Step 5
How they sign
The card under the editor is How they sign. Typed e-sign in the portal is on every plan. Team and Scale can choose DocuSign or Dropbox Sign and paste live keys when you are ready; leave keys blank to use the demo gateway. Solo stays on typed signatures.
Step 6
Send it from the job
Open the project and send the agreement. The client signs in the portal. Signed vs waiting shows on the card. Pair this with hold-until-paid so the PDF does not go out early.

Client emails and texts
Settings → Notifications. Edit the emails and texts clients get as a job moves from booking to report. Turn a message off if you do not want it sent.
Hold the report until they sign and pay
Agreements and invoices live in the client portal. You can keep the report gated until both are done.
Invoices, Stripe, and PayPal
Client invoices are your inspection fees. Connect Stripe or PayPal under Firm Billing. Inspecta Home’s own subscription is under Account → Billing.
Using the client and agent portal
Buyers open jobs to sign, pay, and read the report. Agents see the same job and can mark repair-request items.
