What we look at on a roof
8/17/2026
We start on the covering: granule loss, cracked field shingles, and how the roof meets walls and chimneys. Flashing at valleys and sidewalls keeps water out. Drainage — gutters, downspouts, and grade — is what happens after the water leaves the roof.
If we cannot walk it safely, we say so and photograph from the ground or a drone note. That limit belongs in the report, not in a hallway conversation.
